Emma
Calder
Aspiring Journalist
About Me
Hertfordshire born and raised and lover of culture. I am a keen foodie, both cooking and eating as well as an avid film and music lover. I am a curious traveller, whether it's action packed mountain trek or lounging on the beach with a magazine and a cocktail, I want to travel the globe.
I started my journalism career like many other writers, plodding along on the student news paper. After having a taste for it I quickly decided I wanted to study journalism at university. While at university I took on roles with the on-campus radio station, Siren, and the online student news channel, LSJ News.
I am a furiously, determined hard-worker. Throughout my journalism training at the University of Lincoln I have always made sure to take on more opportunities in industry. I've taken on work experience in magazine, radio, online, and social media.

"Emma was an exceptional intern – friendly, very enthusiastic and industrious, and unafraid to ask questions and take initiative. During her placement she completed a wide range of tasks quickly and competently, as well as coming up with her own ideas to help the magazine ."
