Jack Gleeson

Known for being the despicable king of Westeros, King Joffrey, Jack Gleeson made his name in the acting world. He proved to be a talent by making everyone who watched Game of Thrones, hate him. So, it came as a shock when he quit acting and went into retirement after his exit from the series. He said acting as a career was not as fun for him as he thought it would be. So know he’s where most lads his age are, Gleeson is at university where he plans to earn a degree in philosophy.

Sean Connery

After the sad turn-out for his final film, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, the former James Bond decided to hang up his acting hat and give it a rest, despite there being plenty of job offers on the table.

Frankie Muniz

Frankie rose to fame with his starring role in Malcolm in the Middle, alongside Bryan Cranston. Muniz has had a long-running interest in car racing and in 2008, he put his acting career on hold to pursue an open wheel racing career.

Taylor Momson

Former child-actor, Taylor Momson is most known for her roles, Jenna Humphrey, on Gossip Girl and Cyndi Lou Who in How the Grinch Stole Christmas. She decided to call it quits on the show in 2012 and since then has been recording with her band, The Pretty Reckless.

Amanda Bynes

The former Nickelodeon Amanda Show star had success landing roles in her early 20s following her remarkable childhood career. Unfortunately she had a break down and hasn’t taking on acting work since 2010. Now she’s working on her fashion career.

Peter Ostrum

Soon after Ostrum returned home from filming Willy Wonka, his family acquired a horse; while the teenaged Ostrum was interested in the horse. Taking a hiatus from school between high school and college, Ostrum groomed horses and worked at the Delaware Equine Center in Pennsylvania. ultimately decided to pursue a degree in veterinary medicine instead.

Bridget Fonda

Bridget Fonda, granddaughter of Henry Fonda, was in numerous hits like Single White Female and It Could Happen to You. Despite that, she called it quits in 2002. She went on to marry composer Danny Elfman and spends her time raising their son.

Mara Wilson

Mara Wilson was a popular 90s child star best known for her roles in Matilda and Mrs. Doubtfire. She only appeared in a handful of movies before she called it quits. These days she spends her time as a writer.

Jonathan Bennett

Jonathan Bennett played Aaron Samuels in Mean Girls in 2004, but his career didn’t really take off after that. Since then, he’s been following his passion for fitness, working as a spin instructor in Los Angeles. His last on screen appearance was Dancing With the Stars in 2014.

Leanna Creel

Most known for her role as Tori in Saved By the Bell, Creel packed up acting soon after the series ended. She now lives with her partner in California and is currently employed as a wedding photographer.
